As promised Tuesday night, please see the link below for a pdf summary of the meeting that took place at the Braeside Community Association Hall July 7, 2009.
According to news reports it would appear that the clinic will be ceasing operations in Braeside, thus some of the information we had intended to post on the website about actions the community could take are moot now.
Nonetheless, Alderman Pincott intends still to pursue the Notice of Motion to the July 27, 2009 meeting of Council that ultimately seeks to designate methadone clinics as a specific land-use, rather than be included in the current definition of 'medical clinic.' Once the Notice of Motion has been submitted to the City Clerk's Office we will post a copy of it on here on our website in the "Issues" section.
